Project helps prevent food waste at home
A survey conducted by the Danish Technological Institute has shown that 14% of Danish household food waste stems from meal leftovers. Although these can be reheated, very often this is in a microwave oven, and the survey identified that many find the uneven heating of this process makes the food less savoury. Berries stay fresh in RPC's SuperLock
RPC Superfos's SuperLock® pot has provided the ideal solution to enable a new berry and fruit purée to stay fresher for longer. The injection moulded polypropylene SuperLock® pack with barrier protection has won several international prizes, notably because of its extremely low oxygen transmission rates which mean that most convenience products can stay on shelf under ambient temperatures for up to two years.

Fine food producer grows with RPC's SuperLock
The switch from plastic bottles and doy-packs to the SuperLock® pot from RPC Superfos has enabled Spanish food producer Casa Ametller to expand its range of cold and hot soups and give them a more premium image. The company's soup range was only recently launched in Spain, Switzerland and Germany but with the advent of the SuperLock® pot this has now expanded into 11 different flavours.

For the launch of a special product line for professional painters, the Italian paint producer Colorificio Atria s.r.l wanted a striking look. The result is now on shelves featuring a packaging solution of coloured lids and handles from RPC Superfos. To help give the pails a striking look and a strong visual impact, there is a great variety of colours with coloured lids and handles that match the artwork design, a feature which is not commonly seen on the paint market.

A PS (Protective Shoulder) container from RPC Containers Oakham has been selected for the relaunch of supermarket giant Spar's 2.5L popcorn tubs. In addition to helping ensure a standout presence on shelf, the white tubs - injection-moulded in PP - also come with tamper evidence as standard. A fitted handle is attached to the strengthening collar for added consumer convenience.

RPC's slimmer jar packs a punch at Tangerine Confectionery
A new, narrower jar which loses none of the on-shelf impact of its larger predecessor has been created for Tangerine Confectionery by RPC Containers Blackburn. The injection-moulded 3.6L PET jar, made in a custom mould, is the same height as a 4L version carrying the same on-shelf presence. Its glass clear appearance highlights the colourful, high-quality product within, and the wide neck for easy dispensing uses a 105mm black cap supplied by RPC Halstead.

RPC's containers maximize appeal in the B2B sector
RPC Superfos' beautifully decorated SuperLift containers are playing a key role in the branding strategy of Italian manufacturer Elenka, which produces and sells products for making ice cream and pastry. The containers are injection moulded in polypropylene in matching colours - white, black and brown - and decorated with high quality In-Mould Labelling images. The pack is very functional and confirms correct re-closure with an audible click. SuperLift has a round conical shape and the handle on the collar leaves lots of space for sleek and exclusive art work.

Staying fresher for longer
RPC Superfos's award-winning SuperLock® barrier packaging solution is now available from RPC Containers Blackburn. SuperLock® containers combine an oxygen barrier on all surfaces with a membrane seal to ensure an almost non-existent oxygen transmission rate. This provides an ambient shelf life of up to 24 months for a wide range of products.

Ledo, the largest producer of ice cream in Croatia, is reaping the benefits of having a bespoke pack created together with RPC Superfos Balkan. Ledo was looking for a special pack for Quattro and approached RPC Superfos Balkan, the region's leading provider of injection moulded packaging. With its in-house mould shop and highly skilled staff, RPC Superfos Balkan met Ledo's demand for a creative solution.
